Colorado Bend State Park Volunteer Project - March 7-8, 2003

NOTE: This wasn't a properly written, published trip report. It's mostly my notes that I wrote down after returning from the trip.

During the day (with Butch and Keith):
Re-located SAB189 and SAB190. I also found a small sinkhole that might potentially lead somewhere if dug out.

After 5pm:
Jim Kennedy, Julia Germany, Mark Harlow, and 2 other guys whose names I didn't get. We went to Tire Eater Cave first. Julia and I surveyed it - 2 meter drop, 5.87 meters in length. Jim took a GPS reading on it and he tagged it.

Then went back up the road about 50 yards and surveyed Ankle Biter Cave. Jim took a GPS reading on it and he tagged it. Julia and I surveyed it. We could only fit one person at a time in it, because it was so small. In fact, it barely qualified as a cave in Texas.

Afterwards, we went to Puberty Pit. It still needs to be surveyed, but we just went and checked it out. Everyone except Jim went in and looked around. Besides the usual cave crickets, we also saw two bats, and several small mice in there.
